Peter Vaas

Peter's
coaching career began in August of 1974 as the janitor in the
gym and assistant football coach at Allegheny College. His next
leadership role was at the University of New Hampshire as a member
of their nationally ranked football program. Peter was then called
back to Allegheny to become the coach of The Gators. In his second
year as their head coach he led them to their 1st undefeated season
in 70 years! Quite an accomplishment for the former janitor!
Peter's next
call came from the University of Notre Dame to work with the legendary
Lou Holtz. Two year's later his alma mater called and Peter was
headed back to Holy Cross to become their Head Coach. After 4
years in Worcester Peter began his professional football career
with the Montreal Alouettes. His next challenge was moving to
Europe and joining the Barcelona Dragons. Peter then took on the
challenge of building Berlin Thunder into a Championship NFL Europe
Team. In his second year as their Head Coach Peter led the Thunder
to the ultimate victory, the World Bowl Championship.
